Honestly, I never really write reviews on products. However a lot of people on this forum seem to only judge shoes by the brand, rather than the quality of the product. If the shoe doesn't have three stripes, or a swoosh on the side, its written off as “gay”.
I haven't seen many people wear Airspeeds in person, so I had no idea how they skated. So I went to a local Walmart and picked up a pair of the “Classics” model for $19, ($22.30 with tax) and decided to skate them.

After only 15 minutes of skating, I noticed the soles were already broken in, (felt almost exactly like the Vox Troopers that I skated prior to these) and that the suede flicked really easily.
I went on to skate the shoes for a little over 3 weeks, which is a lot of time for me, considering I usually skate 4-5 hours every single day. The only reason I stopped wearing this pair is because I bought a different pair of Airspeeds, “The Legend 3”.
Overall the shoe is far better than similar shoes (Ie: Vans Classics/Eras, Vox Troopers/Hewitt 2's) I can safely say this simply because I've owned all those and they've become virtually un-skateable after only a few sessions.
Comfort: 8/10.
I would rank them higher, except the insoles would flex and rise up in the arch of my foot so I had to remove them, but besides that they were solid.
Durability: 9/10.
A bit stronger than your average vulcanized shoe, and the suede was super strong. Overall I'd rank them higher than Vans, Cons, Vox, and Emerica.
Skatability: 9/10.
It's weird to say, but when I'd look down and see the toe piece of this shoe I'd get hyped. It reminded me alot of the toe on Vans Sk8 Hi's which I really like. They flick super good and have really good grip, which helped a lot when skating a newly built cement park.
Look/Design: 10/10.
Classic design similar to Vans, and overall really appealing.
Pros:
- Waffle soles, which offer a lot of grip
- Quality suede that doesn't rip easily
- Basic color way (not overly busy)
- Fairly good padding/impact support
- Price - $19
Cons:
- The insoles are sort of flimsy so I replaced them with random soletech insoles I found.
- If you're used to skating bulky shoes, they may be hard to get used to simply because they're rather thin.

Hopefully this review helps change some peoples thoughts on these shoes, and lowers the amount of undeserved hate.

Footnote thingy from Relisch:
I thought this was a great review, and needed to be posted because of how Airspeeds are looked at. Thank you dtj16 for a great review, and props for buying and skating them.
Have a good one.

Anyone can blindly lie about how a product skates, so i guess its good to have a real review of something.
I'd be lying if i said before trying airspeed I wasn't 100% sure if they'd be any good.
But by trying them, i was able to find out how much I did like them.
Also they back sick skaters like kristian svitak, brian sumner, rodd marks, pat washington, and nate sherwood.
We don't have a Walmart around here though so hopefully they'd sell them at Target.
thanks man.
I wrote that review up super quickly before going skating, so i didn't have time to spell check.
I'd rep if i could

And yeah, they really do feel similar to Vans in a lot of ways. I've skated a lot of Vans because they're oftentimes just so durable. These are the only shoes I think that have actually outlasted Vans.. Which haha, I don't think I would have ever expected
