Nah, not at all. You rarely hit your crotch really. Bikes have a seat, sit on them, but when jumping they are standing up, when they land they are standing up. Crotch doesnt hit the seat. Its the same for a uni.

Of course they can miss a trick or grind and get hit pretty ahrd, but that happens in skateboarding too.

well, I meant just in case. Well, not everyone lands standing up, they sometimes land sitting down, which can make your ass sore as fuck.

Anyways, to see more great riding look around on Youtube. Some of the better known street unicyclists are:

Luke Collato (smooth riding)
Xavier Collos (French dude)
Shaun Johanneson (big street)
Kelly Hickman (whom the Hickflip is named for)
and many more

You may also want to see long flatland combos by riders such as Spencer Hochberg.

The best freestyle videos are the Koxx-1(a brand of unicycle) roadtrip and Gond Gergely's call out.

Trials unicycling can be awesome too--check it out. Cross-search "enjoy the ride" and "unicycle" for smooth rolling trials by Derian.

MUni(mountain unicycling) is also very popular and the most known mountain unicyclist is obviously Kris Holm, with his own brand of unicycle one of the most popular among trials, street, and MUni riders alike.

Give this rising sport a chance, eh?

my friend who skates did this for like a month and could do 180's and shit. It was pretty funny. I tried and killed my balls like three times. I couldn't figure out how to sit on the seat without crushing my balls.

Its weird that I look up unicycling out of curiosity, and get linked to a skate forum. haha.

I think ill get back into it. This vids made me curious to the other vids, and the guys talked about above, and the stuff is amazing. Gaping huge stair sets, huge grinds, technical tricks (I have to watch some in slow-mo to see whats even going on). Its really impressive.
