Default Starting to Feel Sick

Had a fairly busy week/weekend. Was out pretty late last night and I woke up early this morning to do some mother's day stuff. Felt fine during this, just a bit tired.

Decided to relax in my bed and watch some youtube videos since I didn't have anything else to do around 1. Then, probably against good judgement I took a nap from like 1:30 to 5 or so. Woke up real sweaty and more tired. I'm starting to feel symptoms of the flu or cold or something.

Sniffling, headache, body aches, fatigue. I've been drinking a lot of water and resting but is there anything you guys do when you start feeling sick to avoid a full blown illness from happening?


I have got a pretty busy week coming up with AP testing, schoolwork, and my senior Ball on Saturday.

So SBC, help a brother in his time of need.

weird, my girlfriend had the same thing this past weekend. her doctor told her its especially common after prom for some reason.

but I'm not sure what you actually need help with.

and ap testing... did you take the us history exam by any chance?

just stay hydrated, thats the most important thing imo. my mom's best friend last night supposedly had a heart attack but once she went into the er they found out it was just mad dehydration/not eating enough. also i usually just stay home away from everyone as to not catch anything else, and rest. feel better, dawg.

just kidding man, what I usually do is drink water, get that good old fresh air, and just keep washing my hands and try not to touch my face even though i do still. Eat good greens, do whats healthy and you should be fine.

drink some green tea, or any kind of tea for that matter. except that arizona stuff. you want it hot. also take it straight, not too much sugar.

for me, popping some airborne or alka seltzer usually helps.

try and sit outside if you can; sometimes when im coming down with something fresh air makes it go away

ohhh and showering. take a hot ass shower.



unrelated note; i hope to take AP pysch next year. along with AP Physics, Government, and English.

should be a fun year haha

four AP classes would be ridiculous. I took APUSH this year. Taking AP English next year. maybe ap psych.

I took regular government this year, easiest non-blowoff class I've ever taken.

i feel your pain man i had a serious stomach ache this morning that led to shitting a fuckload in a dirty school bathroom. shit felt so bad. and ive been sneezing all day too. The worst part of it was that for some reason it was extremely humid today. like i started sweating in the morning just from putting on my clothes.

no seriously, I never really get ill but I had the same symptoms recently of flu or something as you have. drank loads of orange juice the first day, went to sleep and woke up in a puddle of sweat but feeling absolutely fine.

I use that Zicam oral spray. That usually holds off a full blown illness.

Idk if you take multivitamins (not the bullshit gummy bears, real pills), but they could help. Still haven't figured out if they do much or if it's all mental. Then again, I drink and smoke way too much, barely eat (and when I do, it's shit food), don't drink enough water, and I have somehow managed to stay alive without too much problems. Maybe it's just luck.

Also, maybe go for a walk. A little bit of exercise (walking isn't too strenuous) / fresh air won't do any harm, and afterwards you'll get a better feel for what's wrong with you.

i felt kinda off on sunday, i was sneezing more than normal but i think it was just allergies. then woke up on monday feeling really shitty, my throat was really really sore so i gargled with some salt water and went back to bed and just slept all day. i dont think ive had a fever at all, but my entire body is really sore. i feel better today, my throat doesnt hurt but its really really scratchy and dry. im hoping that its just allergies, maybe the rain made it worse or something. tryna get better by tomorrow so i can go to the shore.

i never really get sick so when i do im like totally dead. ive just been drinking water.. made some soup just now. i wish i had juice or something but im low on food and too tired and sore to walk to the grocery store.

the worst part about being sick is just the lack of things to do... i finally moved from my bed to the couch and im just watching netflix... ive watched an entire season of top chef and like 4 movies since yesterday. im so sick of watching tv but i cant really do anything else

I'm not sure if I'm coming down with a cold or it's allergies but it suuuucks. I had sooo much mucus that I blew through my nose and spit up it was ridiculous. Sneezing, watery/sensitive eyes, runny nose, plugged up nose, and tired. I'm hoping it's allergies. I took a zyrtek around 8 last night and I did start to feel better so I'm really hoping it's that.

For those of you that have a stuffed up nose, get a warm glass of water, put two shakes of peppermint oil in it, and some salt, stir it around a bit and then put it close to your nose and sniff in real deep. It clears out your sinuses and your nose will start draining a ton of mucus.

yeah I'm like that too, I have a horribly unhealthy diet, don't take vitamins, and when it's cold I hardly ever wear adequate clothing but I never get sick.

1. hot lemonade with honey <3 tastes perfect, helps :)
2. fresh air. don't sit in the house all the time but go outside. no vigorous exercise.
3. enough sleep is essential.
4. drink your favorite tea
