It seems that Adidas is again making it's way as a name in skateboarding. And it definitly, seeing as how there shoes are much more affordable and better than most of the Nike SBs. Today I'm reviewing a pair of Vulcans I picked up from Marshalls about a month ago. They lasted until about last week, longest a pair of vulcs has ever gone for.

Looks:
I had the black and white colorway. Not much to really say about it. A simple, vulcanized shoe with three white stripes and a black rubber toe guard. Simple and nice.
Boardfeel:
When I first bought them and slipped them on, my first thought was that they were used shoes, being how flexible they were. As I began to skate them, I got that loveable "skating in socks" sensation that most vulk shoes can provide. Great boardfeel.
Grip:
With a straightforward wave grip pattern, it's expected for these shoes to put out an up to par grip. Coupled in with the fantastic boardfeel and the general sole region is just the absolute ultimate for a vulcanized shoe. From the time I bought them until the time they were retired, I did ot experience one slip out, slide or anything similar. As for sole durability, it also is great for a vulcanized shoe. Too often do I buy shoes that the soles fall out of after a good month of skating, but not these. Oh no, these stayed in perfect shaped. By the time they were finished, there were two major wear downs on the sole and the toes of both feet were sanded way down. Still together, better than I would expect from a vulcanized shoe.
Overall durability:
The rubber toe guards are something I've never really seen in this type of shoe. At first I expected it to be a gimmick, just to attract buyers to a "potentially" durable shoe. But I was wrong. After three weeks of skating, that bastard toe cap would not tear. The are around it was ripped to pieces, the binding was torn up and all the stitching had popped, but that guard would not rip. Basically, expected durability for a standard canvas shoe, minus the toe guard, which seems to be indestructible.
Overall:
Great shoes. Just great boardfeel, alright durability and okay grip. A simple look and feel at a simple price. These can be easily picked up at Marshalls for $15. I highly suggest picking some up, no matter what style of skating you love. The only major flaw I could find is bad ankle support (These would be the ULTIMATE shoes in mids). Nonetheless, very much worth price.

$15 really does seem like an absolute bargain!!
But 15 bucks!
