So, have that one ledge in your town, perfect height, away from everything, but won’t slide for anything? Well, for about 6 dollars and a trip to a local Home Depot or Lowes, you can make it buttery in less than a day. Youll need:
–
-A rub brick
-Instant drying clear lacquer
-A ledge
–
–
–
–
Step 1: Use the rub brick to grind the top and side(s) of the ledge down until it is perfectly smooth. This will probably take a good 20 minutes with a few people working if it’s a chunky ledge. Blow off the dust left on the ledge.
–
–
Step 2: Spray a big coating of the instant drying lacquer. You want it pretty thick, just enough so it won’t run, but a hearty amount. Let it dry for about a half hour, regardless of what the directions say.
–
–
Step 3: One more coat of lacquer. Make it thick again, and make sure to get a lot of the ledge, remember, sides and top! You’ll need it for bluntslides and nose/tailslides. Now let both coats dry overnight.
–
–
Step 4: Wax! Coat this thing in wax, everywhere you lacquered.

You’re ready to skate your ledge! Have fun with your new spot, and watch as it gets blown out, then find another ledge. Good luck!
