How long have you been skating for?I think I started when I was about 12-13, just saw a guy cruising down the street and thought dude that’s what I wanna do. I wanna go fast and just ride the wind. I don’t even mind in saying I’m in no means a “good” skateboarder but since I’ve started it’s been a massive part of my life and I love it.
That’s fuckin rad. What a pure way to start.Hell yeah, a short while after I got a playstation demo sent in the mail of Tony Hawks pro skater where you could only play the indoor park level and me and my 4 friends would play for hours, and go outside and skate our corner for hours hahah simple but the best times by far.

Maiden + Chief = One of the best video parts ever. Do prefer street, tranny, gaps, ledges, cruisin…or a mix? I mean for you to skate.In all the years I’ve been playing skateboards with my friends I’ve never really progressed with tranny and it’s only until recently I really feel like I want to get more into, so yeah I’m gunna have to go with street just because the best times of me growing up would be skating through the city streets with friends and then hanging at a spot mucking about and skating or filming for little videos we’d put together of the weekend. It’s cool that we all basically still do it now, grab some beers, cruise to a spot, have a skate, have a laugh and have a drink.

People from overseas come and taste it and see how bad it is, but it’s usually because they’ll take a spoonful or eat a massive amount first go and it’s pretty bad. I don’t even like it on bread, gotta be toast only or it’s way too gnar.

I’ve always said if I’m smiling and living my life exactly how I want to be living it then I’m living the dream. Why waste it doing things we don’t want to be doing ya know ?

What kind of music do you like to listen to?Definitely lays in the 80’s BUT I also can have a bit of a varied taste so yes definitely like me some hair metal 80’s glam type stuff but also love stuff like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Bowie, The Clash, Ramones and The Doors, I love Jim Morrison etc. The next 2 months I am set for some good concerts dude. I have Blink 182 tomorrow night, I have Motley Crue and Kiss early march, then Guns N Roses and ZZ top, then Black Sabbath, then Joan Jett and The Darkness.

What kind of shit are you into besides skating and listening to great music and making me insanely jealous?Well 2 years ago before I went to the states I bought my first and own dog. He’s a golden lab and I named him Duff and definitely mans best friend. He’s cheekily goofy, gets the attention of a lot of girls and is loyal…kinda like me. I’m at University studying to become a teacher which is kinda cool I guess, I work part time in a special needs preschool and part time as a trade assistant to keep a little change in my pocket. I’ll be finishing uni soon, but I keep going back to work in America each Summer so it extends it, but I can’t say no to having two summers, and I love it over there. Last year I got a motorbike too so keeping it rockstar riding that I guess, apart from that normal things, I like reading if it’s in my interest, music is a passion, I love movies and I love going out having a drink and good times with friends. I don’t need much to keep me happy.
Damn that’s rad! What is it you want to teach?Primary school for now, no real set subject. I couldn’t do high school because I think I wouldn’t want to teach my dumb ass when I was there haha. I might go further into working with disabilities or special needs as that’s what type of camp I work at in America and the school here, gotta have a big think about it though. It can be draining some days but amazing others. (Who would have thought an sb-c interview would make me start to think what I really want to do in life)
