Best video of the year?!?!?

Whats up fellow skateboarders? I know it’s been a long fucking time since my last post. There are quite a few reasons why I haven’t been posting: Lazyness, being busy with university, skating, lack of skating etc. Anyways, enough making excuses, I have something to share with you. So good in fact, that it made me want to write a blog post about it. skateboard city

2011 has been a great year for skate videos. The Real video came out at the beginning of the year setting the pace of how videos would be, with Jake Donnelly killing it with undeniable style skating to Too $hort, Brock killing just about about everything in front in him, and Dennis leaving you wishing you can go half as fast as he can. skateboard cityThen we had the Transworld video with Manderson, Wes, and Nestor, this one was a surprise because it wasn’t butchered by Chris Ray’s shitty filming and editing. Torey Pudwill came out with his single part on the Thrasher site which melted my face off, with his combination of hard ass tricks, and skating somewhat fast and not making it look boring. Last but not least A Happy Medium came out recently and that shit was seriosuly insane, there must be something in the Arizona water that makes those fuckers kill it that much. Personally the Real video was my favorite until a couple of hours ago.

My friends I present to you The Occasional Antiz Flashback. Antiz? What the fuck?skateboard city You may say, well Antiz has always been a rad company from Europe with really good videos and skaters. I always thought Antiz was a superb company and always enjoyed the stuff they put out, and with the description that was in the website how could I not want to watch it? “Here is our third opus. Miraculously we managed to put it out just before the end of the world. If you’ve ever seen a skate video before, well, this is pretty much the same. But the only difference is that this one is the best one ever made, seriously…”

So, anyways I decided to check out the video and I was seriously blown away. Not only was the skating insane, the spots were fresh (keep in mind that I’m not that in to the European scene so most of these spots were super fresh for me,), but most importantly you could tell these dude were true motherfucking skate rats. You could see they were always just hanging out while skating and having a blast. About 95% of the footage is filmed on the good ol’ VX, no artsy fartsy high 5 and smile montage, and no shitty music. It has been a long time since I’ve been stoked this much on a video. I knew Steve Forstner and Dallas Rockvam were bound to offer good stuff, but I was pleasantly surprised with not a single boring part. My favorite parts were Steve Forstner, Dallas Rockvam, Julian Furones, and Sam Partaix.

Anyways I leave you with the link to the video. Before you guys start judging about handing out links, the guys at Antiz themselves offer a download link in really good quality or you can watch on the site as well.
