I bought these shoes around April, wanting to try them out. I got them for 55 bucks, which I thought was a good price.

First Impressions:
When I first put these on my feet, I noticed how comfortable they were. The sole is very soft, there is extra padding on the top for increased ankle support, and there is a plastic plate in the back of the shoe to protect against heel bruises.

Comfort:
As stated the shoes were very comfortable. They need almost no breaking in at all. The shock absorbent sole is super comfy, and the extra padding didn’t hurt either. This is one of the more comfortable vulc/suede shoes I have had.

Skate-ability:
These shoes are known for their skate-ability, and for good reason. The suede provides great boardfeel, as well as excellent flick. The sole provides good grip, too. I loved skating these shoes because they felt like I was actually stuck to the board. Not like with some shoes, where you just feel the shoe, not the board. These were some of the best skating shoes I’ve had.

Impact:

The impact on these shoes is a key point. These shoes were definitely made with the mentality that they would be used to jump 7 sets, or big grass gaps. As said above, there is plenty of padding to protect your ankles, and a plastic plate to prevent heel bruises. If you looking for a great impact shoe at a low price, check these out.

Grip:
These shoes provide great grip with a nice, gum sole. The thread lasted a while, unlike other shoes, where the start to smooth over after a while. For being skated for two months, the sole really lasted.

Durability:
This is where the Manchester falls. Its durability is lacking, at best. After two weeks of skating, the stitching of the logo started to come off. After awhile holes started appearing, and some of the stitching connecting the part of the shoe with the laces came off. After skating these, they looked awful. I was disappointed with the durability, but that was it

Overall:
I liked almost every aspect of this shoe. It is good looking, and skates like a God. It does fall apart very easily, though. For 55 bucks, I was satisfied. I would recommend this shoe to someone looking to try Lakai, or looking for a cheap shoe that skates great. But you might want to shell out the extra bucks for a more durable pair of shoes.

Score: 3.5/5
