–Softrucks are a new product intended for learning, and replaces the metal truck and bearings/wheels with a one piece rubber truck.
These are intended to be practice trucks, so if its raining out or if you want to focus on learning a trick, hese things are great. I find in bad weather, pulling out all the cars in the garage and just practicing with the Softrucks is awesome.
For learning tricks, this is an amazingly and simple device which lets you focus entirely on actually learning the trick. You do not have to worry about balance or injuries because the rubber does not slide. This helps greatly in learning tricks as you are not afraid of falling. It's a lot safer then trying new tricks on a real skateboard, where you can land on the board off balance, slip out and get some major injuries.
The product advertises that it's great for learning to Ollie higher, and I must say it really is. To learn to get your ollies higher so you can try handrails or something, this product is key, though I find I like it a lot more fun for trying tricks other than just ollies. The trucks are also super great for perfecting tricks. For example, if you can do 360 flips nicely on flat ground lets say, and you are unable to catch them when you try them down gaps, this can help you focus on just that, and it?s a lot easier to focus on a small part of a trick on Softrucks then it is on a real board.
Softrucks also has a list of camps which help skaters develop their skills, each camp from the list of also utilize Softrucks.
Overall, I highly recommend Softrucks, for the price of one pair of trucks these things are a must have for any dedicated skater. If you are just starting out and feel like you are truly dedicated to learning to skate, I would pick a pair of Softrucks up right away, it will teach you tricks a lot quicker.
