Bro Bolts (10 Pack)
–Blank Skate Supply & Jargon Distribution – Bro Bolts are another product made by Jargon Distribution, and like the others, it’s great.
These bolts are made in 1 inch size, which is cool, long enough to have risers and short enough not to have tons of excess hanging off.
They’re also Phillips head, and I’m very glad they are, otherwise I’d never buy them. I find that any Allen key mounting hardware has its heads turn into unusable circles after changing decks only a few times. Phillips head is a much more defined shape, a much better choice for skateboarding mounting hardware. For trucks, Allen key king pings are great, just not for mounting hardware…
The bolts are all black, so if you are normally using 2 gray bolts and rest black to tell nose from tail, then you’ll have to do something else to figure that out when your riding Bro Bolts, not a big problem though. The heads are as small as they should be, any smaller and the hardware would drown in your board, and bigger your just adding excess weight. As you can see in the photos, compared to Shorty’s hardware, these seem to have an identical head size.
Some features they mention are a thin head, so even though the size is very small, they make sure you can’t over screw your hardware to your deck by having a lesser thickness. These bolts are also only threaded half way down for more strength. An extra fabrication process is also done to these bolts, which adds to the cost of production, but makes these bolts that much stronger. With a life-time guarantee and 10 bolts in a set, you’ll never need to buy another pack of hardware again.
Even Shorty’s can’t match up to this offer.
